About Me

I am David King and I'm currently a Project Manager for an Engineering firm in Edinburgh, Scotland. I have always been interested in space and even did a degree in Physics with Space Science & Technology but for some reason I never got around to taking up Astronomy. Yes, I loved looking at the night sky but never tried to really understand what I was seeing beyond the odd obvious constellation and planets.

Anyway, thanks to my parents buying me a telescope for christmas I decided that it was time I properly embraced astronomy and have jumped head first into a world of Meissier objects, focal ratios and aperture envy! This blog is basically going to track this new adventure I am undertaking and will hopefully provide some interest to a few people out there.

As a note, blogging isn't new to me as I already have two blogs which you can also check out if you want. The first of these is An Eclectic Bookshelf in which I review the various books I read. The second blog is my ultimate geek release and is called A Star Trek Literary Adventure which is a blog following me as I attempt to read ever Star Trek novel in chronological order.

If you feel like chatting then feel free to post a comment on this blog or on any of my others. Otherwise feel free to get me via the various social media buttons that appear around the blog or try and catch me at the Central Scotland Observers Group or Stargazerslounge.com
